A few months ago we went to Wales for the weekend. It’s a quick 2 hour train ride from London so it’s an easy weekend trip if you need to get out of London for a little.
Our first stop was Cardiff Castle which is located in the center of the city so you can’t miss it.
There is so much history is this castle since it has been around for over 2000 years!
After the Castle we headed down to the bay. The first restaurant we saw was this….
That’s my last name!! But not for too much longer
The area down by the bay was great! There are so many restaurants, bars and things to see. It didn’t hurt that we lucked out with a beautiful day.
This is the entrance to the Doctor Who Experience. It just opened in August 2012.
Roald Dahl is one of the best childhood memories I have so it was pretty cool to see the Church in which Roald was baptized. It isn’t a church anymore though, it’s a cafe.
That was our first day in Cardiff and since it’s a small city we pretty much covered everything but the Millennium Stadium which we didn’t have much interest in anyway. We decided to check out Swansea the next day so I’ll tell you about that tomorrow.
