The Best Of Notting Hill: Hyde Park
When Jon originally looked for flats for us I had a checklist (obvi) for him. One of the requests was to live by a park so I could use it as my gym. It’s hard not to live by a park in London but I wanted a big park where I didn’t have to do laps to do long rungs. Hyde Park is about a 5 mile loop which is perfect. If I want a quick run I’ll run the perimeter and if I want a longer run I’ll then zig-zag throughout the pathways in the park.
I’ll miss Hyde Park being so close for many reasons. I’ve run several races in Hyde Park, Winter Wonderland has been visited for the past couple of years even though it hasn’t changed one bit and is so crowded, and listened to Rod Stewart rock out…for free.
I will be able to run along the Thames Path or in Southwark Park now which will be a nice change of scenery I hope.
